As Madison Engineers, we are often asked what our better will be. As a team, we want our better to be farther, cleaner, and more efficient. We are taking a fresh look at each element of supermileage vehicles and applying our unique perspective of sustainability-focused design.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The 2022 competition team is in the final stages of building the vehicle and is in the process of completing milestones to determine eligibility for 2022 event. The team comprised of 8 senior engineering students has been divided into 2 sub-teams: systems testing and propulsion. Students have been and are working in a variety of disciplines, including automotive engineering, electrical engineering, fabrication, and fluid system analysis.  Faculty advisers for this project are Dr. Robert Nagel and Dr. Robert Prins.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

We have an incredible opportunity to create something with a lasting impact on society, technology, and generations of Madison Engineers to come. The Madison Community is incredibly generous and supportive, and the JMU Supermileage team thanks everyone who has made this possible. If you would like to donate, follow the link below for instructions. We appreciate every donation, no matter the size. All donations go towards building, testing, and transporting the car to compete in the Shell Eco-Marathon.
